This shows the actual number of Provosts and Free Scholars with a recent count of authorized rapier fighters from the MoL's Roster of Authorized Fighters. Current as of 2/1/2005.
This shows the number of people from each group that you might actually run across at an event. You might call this the "active" chart. The Provost and Free Scholar numbers seen here are "my" numbers. I just went through the rosters and counted up the people that I might actually run across these days. The Scholars number reflects approximately a 25% loss. Through conversations and general observation it was determined that around 75% of the people that get authorized in a form of rapier combat become at least quasi-active in the rapier arts. Even though this is a best guess it should be noted again that it is just a guess.
